Warm, thoughtful assessment with a clear path forward.

Dr. Gabriela González Torres is a licensed clinical psychologist and founder of Psychological Assessment Specialists of North Atlanta. She works with older adolescents, adults, and older adults who are looking for a better understanding of themselves, their experiences, or concerns that may not have had a clear explanation.

She provides comprehensive psychological and cognitive evaluations for ADHD, autism, learning concerns, diagnostic clarification, and cognitive and memory concerns. Her approach is thoughtful and individualized, with an emphasis on looking beyond test scores to understand the whole person.

Dr. González Torres believes an evaluation should leave you with more than a diagnosis. Her goal is for patients and families to come away with greater clarity, a better understanding of their strengths and challenges, and practical direction for what comes next.

She has advanced training and experience in psychological and neuropsychological assessment and provides services in both English and Spanish.

Above all, she strives to create an assessment experience where people feel heard, respected, and understood.

“I want an evaluation to be more than a diagnosis. I want it to bring clarity and give you a roadmap for what comes next.”

Understanding the cost of your evaluation

Which insurance plans do you accept?

We are in-network with Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Because coverage for psychological and neuropsychological testing varies by plan, we encourage you to contact your insurance company directly to confirm your benefits and expected costs.

Which billing codes should I ask about?

Common billing codes: 90791 · 96116 · 96121 · 96132 · 96133 · 96136 · 96137

What should I ask my insurance company?

When contacting your insurer, ask about testing coverage, deductible, copay/coinsurance, prior authorization or referral requirements, and any testing exclusions.

Is there a materials fee?

A $150 materials fee is due at the initial consultation and is not billed to insurance. This fee covers assessment materials and related testing resources.

What are my private pay and out-of-network options?

Private pay and out-of-network options are available for individuals who prefer not to use insurance or whose plans do not cover the requested services. Choosing private pay may offer greater flexibility and privacy, allowing an evaluation to proceed without submitting claims or diagnostic information to an insurance company. For patients seeking out-of-network reimbursement, we can provide a superbill. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on individual plan benefits. Estimated evaluation costs are discussed before services begin.
